From electrical drawings to a priced bid.
Upload your PDF drawings. Cotizador Eléctrico reads the legend, counts every symbol on every sheet, prices the materials with your own supplier lists and builds a bid you can send, in PDF and Excel, with your logo.
- Every symbol marked on the drawing
- Prices from your own suppliers
- Bids in PDF and Excel
Counting symbols by hand takes hours
Every bid starts the same way: a stack of sheets, a highlighter and a spreadsheet. It is slow, it is easy to miss something, and the numbers are hard to check later.
Hours per project
Dozens of receptacles, fixtures and devices on every sheet, counted one by one.
Easy to miss
One missed symbol is material and labor you pay for and never charged.
Hard to audit
A total in a spreadsheet does not tell you where each number came from.
How it works
You upload two things: the drawings and your supplier price lists. The system does the counting and the math; you review and approve.
- Upload the drawingsAll the sheets of the project in one PDF. Cover, legend and one-line diagrams are recognized and left out of the count.
You - The legend is read and every symbol countedEach symbol type of the legend is found on every plan sheet and marked in place, labeled with its type and count.
Automatic - Review only what is doubtfulEach detection is marked sure or possible. You confirm the doubtful ones on the drawing; nothing is counted without support.
You - Upload your price listsThe Excel or CSV your distributors send you. When a material has several suppliers, the cheapest current price is used.
You - Materials are calculatedStandard assemblies turn each symbol into its materials (device, box, plate, conduit, wire) and price them with your lists.
Automatic - Add labor and send the bidCrew, transport and equipment, plus overhead, contingency, margin and tax. Download the bid in PDF and Excel.
You
A takeoff you can audit
Every number in the count points to a box on the drawing. Open any sheet and see exactly what was counted, by type.
- Count by type and by sheet, with sure, possible and confirmed apart
- Demolition sheets are shown but do not add to the takeoff
- Export the takeoff to Excel or CSV in one click
Your suppliers, side by side
Upload the price lists of every distributor you buy from. Each material shows the price of each supplier and the best current one.
- Excel template included, or your distributor's own file
- Prices "per 1000 ft" or "per box" turned into unit prices
- Price history and expired lists flagged
Materials, calculated for you
Each counted symbol becomes the materials it takes to install it. Quantities add up per material across the whole project, with the supplier and date of every price.
- Conduit sticks and boxes rounded up to whole units
- Each line shows which symbols it is for
- Anything without a price is flagged, never guessed
A bid ready to send
Materials and execution costs in one professional document, with your logo, in your company's language. Approve it and it is locked, with date and owner.
- PDF for your client, Excel with every line item and total
- Overhead, contingency, margin and tax calculated
- Versions that never change once approved
Your drawings and prices stay yours
Bids depend on confidential information: your clients' drawings and the prices you negotiate. The system is built around that.
Private price lists
Your lists are seen only by your company. They are never shown to others, combined or averaged with anyone else's prices.
Drawings read on your server
Reading the legend and counting the symbols needs no outside service.
Traceable to the source
Every quantity points to its sheet; every price to its supplier, list and date.
A person approves
The system proposes; your estimator confirms. Prices and totals are calculated, never invented.

Frequently asked questions
What files can I upload?
PDF drawings, vector or scanned, and DXF. Vector PDFs, the ones exported from CAD, give the best results; scanned sheets are flagged so you review them. DWG files need to be saved as PDF or DXF first.
Does it work with any engineering firm's drawings?
It reads the symbol legend of each set of drawings, so it adapts to the symbols each firm uses. Drawings vary a lot, which is why every count can be reviewed on the sheet and the doubtful ones are marked for you. You can also draw a box around a missing symbol and the system finds the others like it.
Where do the prices come from?
From your own supplier price lists, uploaded in Excel or CSV. When several suppliers carry the same material, the cheapest current price is used. A material without a price is shown as "no price" in the bid, never guessed.
Do I need to build my own assemblies?
No. The assemblies, what each symbol takes to install, are set up for your company when you start. Your estimators only upload drawings and price lists, and can adjust quantities if your crews work differently.
Can I edit the bid before sending it?
Yes. You review the count, add labor and costs, and check the preview. When you approve the bid it is locked, and any change creates a new version.
Can other companies see my prices?
No. Each company only sees its own price lists and projects. Prices are never shared, combined or used for anything else.
